Latin American Cultural Week

In 2006, at a board meeting for PAMAR (Pan American Musical Art Research, Inc.), we discussed the creation of a public event to heighten awareness of PAMAR. I spearheaded the push to create an event that would showcase contemporary Latin American art and culture --not just the music-- to present a complete context for understanding the work that PAMAR does. For ten days in November 2006, PAMAR hosted over 40 different events at various locations in New York City, including exhibitions of work by contemporary Latin American artists. Every year since then, Latin American Culture Week (LACW) has continued to be a fun and inspiring event.
